Convert XDCAM Video Situations

  • Can anyone suggest a method for changing the native MP4 files associated with the BPAV folder that comes directly off the SxS card from the EX-1 to a FCP usable file that does not use the XDCam Transfer software?
  • Is there another piece of software that can convert the EX-1's MP4 files quicker, or can anyone offer a guide on how to alter the actual MP4 file and make it a FCP compatible .mov file?
  • I have a few clips in .mxf format on a hard drive that I need to import into FCP. I've tried the XDCAM Transfer from Sony, but it keeps saying no clips found.
  • I'm shooting F55 in HD mode. My client's location-laptop is a Windows 8 PC, She wants to use her PC to convert the XDCAM HD clips into MOV files. The editor uses Final Cut 7 on a Mac.
  • Is there any new fangled converter that will allow me to simply convert the XD .mp4 files to .mov files that FCP will recognize?
